Three New Things to Love About Old Naples

There’s plenty to celebrate about Old Naples, but there are now three new things in the works to enjoy. New rooftop restaurant The first likely new addition to Old Naples is a planned rooftop restaurant for Fifth Avenue South. If it all goes through, it will be the very first rooftop restaurant for the famous street and the restaurant could become one of Fifth Avenue’s largest eateries. Plans call for outdoor dining overlooking sensational city views. Called Prime Social, the very first rooftop cocktail lounge from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants opened in Kansas City a couple of years ago. If the one in Naples proceeds, it will mean adding on a third story to an existing commercial building that currently houses a real estate company and Chops City Grill. 6-car garages Another thing to look forward to is The Huxley, which is a boutique condo property going up along Eighth Street South, between Third and Fourth avenues, on land previously owned by a broadcasting company. The Huxley condos will each range from around 3,700 square feet of living space to an outstanding 6,800 square feet of space, in either a single-level or a townhome-style layout.  Perhaps just as impressive to potential buyers, is the fact the units of The Huxley will all come with up to a six car, private garage. Some of the grand residences will also include private roof decks. Multi-use project The last thing to love about Naples is a proposed multi-use project including a Whole Foods Market planned for Downtown Naples. With this project, it would reportedly mean bringing in the new grocery store, some restaurants and retailers, some condos, and a Restoration Hardware to some acreage close to Fifth Avenue South and 10th Street South. Some say if all goes through, the two new mixed-use buildings will form a gateway of sorts to the city.
