It’s difficult to imagine Naples without the Park Shore neighborhood today, but decades ago, the luxury area stood undeveloped. The history of Park Shore dates way back to the mid 1960s, when a developer first purchased the land with a vision to create something truly special between the Gulf and US 41. Over a four-year span, architects, planners, and engineers worked to create one of the very first planned unit development districts in the state, and the very first in Collier County. A condo building called Colony Gardens was one of the first structures to break ground overlooking Venetian Bay with private boat docks.  The 15-story Horizon House condo building soon followed, as did the Mediterranean-styled Venetian Villas. By the late 1980s, The Village Shops on Venetian Bay first opened, bringing dozens of new shops, restaurants, and galleries to this part of Naples. A second phase of development brought in even more options in the early 1990s. Now, decades later, it’s still a favorite destination of locals, and visitors, alike, inspiring people to come and see what Park Shore has to offer. The Le Parc condos came about in the early 1990s, along with the exclusive Enclave, which offers just one condo per floor. Park Shore Tower first opened up in the mid 1990s, along with Le Ciel Venetian Tower and Le Rivage. The area is also home to the privately owned, Raymond Lutgert Park, named for the original landowner and developer of Park Shore. The park features a picnic area, a small pavilion, and a path, which leads to the Gulf. As for some of the residential options of Park Shore, you’ll now find some single-family homes, mid-rise condos, and high-rise condos. This means finding a one-bedroom condo in the area or a sprawling property priced in the multi-million-dollar range with a great deal of living and entertaining space.
