While you are cleaning the top shelves, for example, dust can fall onto lower parts of the room. You then clean the low parts and you are done. Cleaning from the bottom means that dust can fall again on clean surfaces while you are cleaning the higher parts of a room.

Spray Down Surfaces

To save time, spray down all the surfaces you want to clean. The cleaning product will have already sit on the surface and loosen up all the dirt. When you finish spraying, the first surface will be ready to Wipe down. Go back to the first room and wipe every surface with a clean cloth. Wipe from top to bottom so the bottom surfaces won’t get dirty again. When you get to the bathroom, soak the toilet, bathtub, and sink with the disinfectant and let sit.

Clean the Bathroom

While you wipe the surfaces from dust, the disinfectant in the bathroom is done working and you can scrub the toilet. Use cleaning gloves to protect your hands. Soak the toilet with warm water and scrub the toilet bowl with a toilet brush. Flush the toilet when you finish. Spray the outside surface of a toilet with a disinfectant and wipe it down. Scrub clean the bathtub and the sink and rinse the product and dirt with water. Dry them with a paper towel or clean cloth to prevent dust from falling.

Clean Glass and Mirrors

Spray all the mirrors and glass/windows with a cleaning spray and wipe it down. The cleaning solution can leave streaks so make sure to have a clean dry cloth or paper towel to wipe down the glass. A natural replacement to glass cleaner is a solution of vinegar and water. Rub the glass and mirrors with old newspaper for a streak-free result.

Clean the Floors

Floors should be cleaned last. If you clean them first, all the dust and dirt will fall again while you are cleaning the rest of the house. For quick cleaning, use the vacuum on all surfaces. Make sure you get the corners – a lot of dust gathers there. After vacuuming go over with floor cleaning product and wipe all the surfaces.

End of Lease Cleaning

If you have to clean your apartment or house because it’s the end of your lease, you will need to do a deep cleaning of the space. Check every part of your house or apartment and see if anything needs to be fixed or deep cleaned.
