Why we love Fireclay Tile

I'm taking a break from the Worthful Wednesday post today, to do a review on a lovely company. Recently Tiffannie White from Fireclay Tile reached out to me, she really liked the website and blog and wanted to know if I wanted a sample kit from Fireclay. Of course, I was excited because I absolutely LOVE Fireclay. Have you seen all the images floating around Pinterest of their tile patterns? A-MAZ-ING. If you haven't seen it, you will now! I decided to do a review of the welcome pack that Tiffannie sent me, as well as throw in some good 'ole inspiration images.
Fireclay Tile is an BCorp company, so they really care about people and the environment. This is how they explain BCorp on their website:
"What is a B Corp you might ask? Well, we didn’t quite know until 2015 ourselves. A Benefit Corporation utilizes the power of business to inspire social and environmental change. This means that we hold ourselves to higher standards of performance, accountability, and transparency to better ourselves and the world around us."
Ah, love that! We need more companies around that want to better the world.
Warning: I will be using the word LOVE a lot in this blog post. Because I love Fireclay Tile. Love, love, love, love them. Kay?
Their tiles are made are in California (whoo hoo!) and they are made from mostly recycled materials. They are handmade, made to order. Who doesn't love fresh handmade tile delivered to their door, right?
As far as pricing goes, they are about $15 per sqft for their Foundations Line, and range to $50 per sqft for their Runway Collection. The handpainted tiles are sold per piece, starting at $30. They also discount to the trade.
For more information, for questions, or pricing you can feel free to contact Tiffannie directly by clicking here.
The Welcome Kit
As soon as I opened the box, I was greeted with Fireclay's beautifully printed logo and card-board tri-fold folder with their Picket pattern printed on the front cover. Packaging is everything my friends, and they don't disappoint. Once I opened the folder, it was divided into three sections. One had an inspirational card, the other had color chip tile samples, and on the right side was a free hand painted patterned tile with little rubber pieces to attach to the bottom to use as a coaster. I was so excited! I LOVE THE HAND PAINTED TILES! Score!
Also included was a booklet showing their colors, product lines, etc. The booklet is printed in a nice matte paper, good quality. Since I'm a design nerd, I might use it as a coffee table magazine. Last but not least, I asked Tiffannie to send me a sample of the Picket Braided pattern tile so that I can see the quality in person. LOVE.
Below are some pictures of what was included:
Inspiration Images
Okay, enough with the intro stuff. Now lets get on with it and look at some beautiful samples and install images. You can click on the product images to view the product page if you want more details on the tiles. WARNING: tile eye-candy coming your way..
Picket- Braided
This color is to die for! Click here to view ALL the colors. There are so many.
Kasabah Trellis
Seriously, this is all you need in your kitchen. That's it. WOW. Shown in Neutral Motif.
Chaine Femme
When I first looked at this tile pattern, I think Asian inspired. But the Fireclay Tile website really surprised me when they put a retro spin on this tile, see below:
Herringbone
Twist on a classic white subway tile backsplash.
Love the oversized scale in this one and the ivory tusk color. They have many sizes and colors!
Grandola
My favorite is the blue color way. Surprise surprise..
This is gorgeous if you want something more traditional in styling. They have it all!
Small Diamond
Depending on the direction you place the tiles in, it can look completely modern or completely vintage.
Ogee Drop
My favorite is the neutral color, but this pattern is so much fun! I love the variety of colors they can do!
Thats just a sampling of their product offering. Seriously, check out their website for more goodies. In conclusion, their tiles are more pricey than say, Home Depot , but you are getting something unique, something of high quality, and something handmade. AND it's good for the environment, which I like supporting companies who treat our world with kindness.
Now I want to remodel a kitchen or bathroom using Fireclay Tile. Anyone?!
