Five UK self catering holiday destinations for the interiors obsessed…

Apart from being an interiors obsessed bunny Mummy, I am also a full time Marketing Manager for a holiday company. Yes, I may be biased, but gone are the days when holidaying in the UK consists of chintz fabric and electric heaters…self catering accommodation and caravanning really can float the boat of even the most interiors savy!

Here are five of my favorite self catering options that have unique and beautiful interiors…

Beach Cove Coastal Retreat, Devon

This super sexy bijou Beach Hut is just one of a few different types. Personally I Love how the ‘Driftwood’ is all one cosy room. I love love love the crisp white and the pastel colours. Each huts corian worktop is the same colour as it’s exterior – Yellow, Pink, Blue or Green. Eeeek.

Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa, Somerset

Most of the lodges at Cheddar Woods are more simple, traditional and clean but the ‘Brunel’ Lodge stands out to me because it dares to be a bit different. You can’t beat classic Chesterfields coupled with a zingy lime!

Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat, Isle of Wight

This is one of two quirky little tree houses at the Retreat. I’m so completely in love with the use of copper and the fact it has a full on toilet and shower – nothing says luxury to me like going on a trek to the loo.

Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat, Dorset

Of course I also had to feature a more traditional lodge. The ‘Rowan’ lodge at Wareham Forest is a perfect mix with traditional wing back chairs and check fabrics but with a yummy contemporary feel in the colour pallet.

Piran Meadows Resort & Spa, Cornwall

This beauty is a caravan, an actual beautiful caravan. I just had to feature the ‘St. Austell’ because you can’t beat a good old classic UK caravan holiday. I love the candy stripes and funky fabrics…They have come such a long way don’t you think?!

Anywho, thats my quick round up of my favourites that Darwin Escapes have to offer. If you think of typical ‘nice’ places to stay in the UK it’s too easy to think of hotels and cottages and forget all about our holidaying roots.

If you’ve stayed anywhere and you’ve been suprised by the interiors then share them below… even if they aren’t Darwin (I dare you).

Thats all for now campers…
