2. What's something many people seem to love, but to you feels like 'watching the grass grow'?
Watching golf on TV?
4. It's been said, 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder.' Agree or disagree? Explain.
I agree if it is my immediate family.
For others, it could turn into "Out of sight - Out of Mind."
Like old friends - or cousins from other states. I'm done trying to reach out - but boy when they want to come to California, all of a sudden they want to be friends.
People enter our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
I believe this. Why make something when it wasn't meant to be any more than what it is?
5. Are there any festive Spring Events in your city or town? If so, will you take advantage of them?
Yes, my town has many spring events that I look forward to. Jazz concert this Friday night at the college - Kool April Nites, The Redding Rodeo -
There are children's events and the Food Truck court starts happening and every Friday night they have live music. Then there is First Fridays - downtown. Another event for the Spring through Fall that is fun.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
All is well here. My youngest son bought a new car (a Jeep) that he is pleased with. We went over Saturday to see it. Nice.
We're starting to discuss what we will be doing to the front yard. A month ago, a portion of the picket fence fell - thankfully it is fine, just needs to be re-installed. But in doing that, my husband chopped down the Oleanders that my dad planted 25 years ago. I cherish privacy and I enjoy little nooks where I can sit and not be seen by the neighbors. Now I am exposed. So we have THAT to figure out.
The weather has been gorgeous - - The hot stuff comes in May/June. Perfect weather for me is 70-80 with low humidity.
Speaking of low humidity - I can tell its back - every time I open the car door I get shocked. When I am in the store, and I go for the freezer section with doors, I get shocked. I guess it's old age but it really jars me - I've done everything I can to prevent it. It's just the way it is here. At least inside the house, we can use a humidifier; although I don't have one yet but am looking into it for the summer months. I can also use overhead sprinklers for the outside so we can enjoy it better without being baked half-alive.
That's it for me. Short and sweet.
