Ordered new curtains for my dining area

Six or so years ago, we replaced all the windows in our home - with nice energy-efficient windows that look nice. I didn't want Curtains to hide the windows...at least in the dining area because we have complete privacy. I enjoy looking out to our patio, the hill, and the waterfall - But my husband has always felt like he needed curtains there. So finally, I ordered some. They are cotton linen with boho black fringe on the edges. They will compliment the black and white buffalo check in the living room.

At first, I ordered these - LOVE THEM. The colors would match my yellow walls and aqua-blue-cabinets - After thinking about it, I would have a hard time, matching up with all my tablecloths so I immediately canceled the order and purchased the black and white instead. But I still love these - they are so cheery. Maybe in my bedroom...but not for now. The only issue I had with these is they were polyester and I don't like that fabric; especially if you have animals that occasionally shed.

They are to arrive the 2nd week of Nov. Free shipping and free returns.

The last couple of days this week, I haven't been up to snuff - Every time I ate, my stomach hurt. I had to leave my Alanon meeting on Tuesday in the middle of it and I didn't make it to my Bible study on Wednesday. I guess just a stomach bug that is going away (Thank God) but has left me tired. Today was the first day out for me. We went to Costco to buy batteries for the smoke alarms. They are starting to blink red - The batteries are the backup - they are wired into the electricity. But we have to keep the batteries in. It's a catch-22. A packet of 9 volts was $20.99. Eight in the package. While there I picked up a Rotisserie chicken for dinner. Still the best deal around.

Then I dropped the husband off and went to Winco and did the rest. I spent $55. Then we had to refill Laydee's prescriptions and that amounted to $155. Thank God we haven't bought gas for the KIA in several months. Gas is hovering around $5-6 a gallon but I know of a few out-of-the-way places where the gas is $4.65.

Our warm weather has gone so maybe I can confidently say Fall is officially here. Right now it is 66 degrees. It was 39 degrees when we woke up this morning. I turned on the heat this morning but then turned it off for the rest of the day. Just a week ago it was 97 degrees!

We're also enveloped in smoke from fires. These are prescribed burns - the one nearer to us is 3700 acres.  It has made our air unhealthy - 156 which is not THAT bad but is still considered unhealthy. I remember back during our big fires a few years back and it was in the 600-700 range. Since I live in a valley, the smoke gets trapped here and it looks like fog.

Well, I hear my husband's stomach rumbling...so It's time for me to rustle up some dinner. Thanks for dropping by.
