This and that in and around the neighborhood.

Isn't he cute?

Apparently, he loves tomatoes.

One of my neighbors took this photo - we believe it is a cutworm? I've never seen anything like this. We are surely getting a lot of strange creatures in our yards and gardens this year.

He reminds me of those Glo-worms my little boys had when they were babies.

I haven't seen any in my tomatoes. It would probably give me the icks.

I get this text Saturday morning - Ha Ha on them. First off I do not use Wells Fargo.  But I would think it could upset many elderly. I have learned not to fall for this crap. Ridiculous plus who would really spend $1009.48 at Walmart??

I reported it to our police and my neighborhood group to be on the lookout for such scammers. NEVER EVER click on those links.

While there on the Next Door, I thought I would see what is going on in and around my subdivision.

Another post from a neighbor from the Next Door app. It was said these are quail eggs because quail lay their eggs on the ground and not in trees.

A California King snake - a natural enemy of the rattlesnake. You are a blessed person, to have one of these on your property.

Well, it was bound to change - our normal summer temps are coming...

California Gas tax goes up from 7.5 to 8% on July 1.

We have to fill up the vehicles. The PHEV is fine but we'll fill it up anyway but the Dodge Caravan needs to be filled up.

I don't know anyone who is "for" this.

The city finally added back the playground equipment to my subdivision. They took them down due to Covid back in 2020. They had just put installed them in 2019 - then Covid hit and then took down all the playground equipment.

Isn't this sweet?

My husband threw a curveball my way - instead of decluttering (in a way we are or will be) we are installing new flooring in the office and the back room which goes by many names (craft room, storage room, etc) We've been putting it off and I kinda sorta forgot about it - so Friday we went out and made the purchase - we started moving things out (into the rest of the house) today.

 - IT IS A MAJOR CLUTTERED MESS.

He's doing one room at a time - so the back room first - He will then sand down the cement and use a Self-Leveling Concrete Resurfacer to make it smooth then seal it and then install the flooring. Each section will need at least 24 hours to cure.

It will be nice but sure is a mess I wasn't quite expecting.

My dining room is filled with boxes - my office is filled - Mind you, this was my craft room. I had to get it all together and yeah I feel a bit overwhelmed with the mess. I like "order." and right now, it doesn't feel very orderly.

It will be, I know. He's estimating maybe it will be ready by Friday. But realistically he is thinking by Sunday afternoon. He won't work on it Saturday or Sunday for church. He'll start back on Sunday afternoon. We have to get the flooring out of the hot garage and into the room to regulate the temp for at least 24 hours.

Well, back to the old grind -

Until next time...

Debby
