When I saw this, I knew exactly what I would do -

Make a dollhouse for Sara's three-year-old niece.

This Drawer has a curved top just like the one on Pinterest!

The shelf fits almost perfectly - just needs a little wood biscuit to tighten the screw on the sides to hold the divider shelf in place.

It does not need to be fancy - she's three - I plan to use dollar tree dollhouse furniture.

When pricing the furniture - I decided it was just more money than I wanted to spend.

Pried off these decorative pieces - which are keepers...just don't know yet how or where they will be best used.

I want to keep these two because I like the fronts of the drawers -

Armed this morning with a sledgehammer and a crowbar, I managed to unassemble the Dresser. It was fun. Certain pieces were harder to pry out - needed some muscle from my husband.

The dresser top.

That was really hard to take off and it still has a wood frame under it, which is a problem. It could break the top so we're thinking about how best to do it.

Two middle-size drawers -

I've saved all the screws - and the handles and knobs.

The back of the dresser was made from a sturdy MDF -

Medium-density fibreboard is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers, often in a defibrillator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is generally denser than plywood. Wikipedia

The sheet of MDF will come in handy for other projects as well.

These are the larger drawers - I wish I had three.

I'll just have to be happy with the two.

I've decided I will build this shelving to place on my back patio to hold my empty pots and gardening tools.

I can use 4 salvaged wooden fence boards - so I won't have to make a purchase.

I will need to sand them down for a smooth finish.

At the smaller end of the drawers, I plan to finally use the old license plates from my mom and dad, by attaching them to the side.

Mom was born in Ohio and Dad was born and raised in Scott County, Tennessee.

I am so excited to get started but FIRST I have to paint the trim on the closets that I never painted.

When I showed my husband what I planned he was pretty impressed. So I have him, "on board."

I won't be starting these projects until Monday because my husband wants to go to the...

at the Coleman Fish Hatchery tomorrow morning.

More on that later.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday nite.

and if I haven't said it before, thanks for being here!
