Aren't these cookies adorable? No, they are not mine. I can bake many things but rolled out Sugar Cookies / decorated I can't do.  Oh, I can't do jello molds either. They would never get firm. 

I do love the way decorated sugar cookies look. So cute. 

Tomorrow is the big day. 

Not so much for us - we'll observe till our anniversary which is the 16th. I don't feel in a rush - we're not going out to dinner. We'll do all that mushy stuff on our anniversary. We don't buy things for each other - but we will buy something for our garden or home. Nothing big. 

My first husband gave me my engagement ring in a bouquet of red roses on Valentine's Day. I was thrilled with the roses - didn't see the ring, tied to the paper, and promptly threw it out. Then he starts looking around, as I am looking for a vase and finally he was digging around in the trash and found it. We had a good laugh. 

I really don't care much for Valentine's Day. I had 3 sons, and they hated it. 

"Do I really have to go to school today?" 

The little girls were all googly-eyed - One year I was the class mom and helped out at the Valentine's Party. It was pretty funny to watch them at that age (3rd grade) 

I admit, when I was a little girl, Valentine's Day and the school party were major events. I was always hoping...that the boy I liked, liked me back. NEVER HAPPENED. 

As a teenager, I started to hate those Valentine Dances and the last couple of years, I wouldn't attend.  

I remember years ago when I was divorced - and I had all my divorced woman friends and many of them would get really depressed on Valentine's Day. I'd observe it at home with my 3 sons - pizza and Koolaid! We'd watch a movie that was NOT a chick flick that they liked and it was a nice evening. And I'd buy my own flowers! 

I don't remember why the husband and I decided to get married on Feb. 16. 

I think I'm going to see what I can bake - but we'll probably eat it tonight.
