Fluffy Fibers: Episode 23

I seem to have been knitting lots of tubes lately! And have been keeping happy with small projects.
Episode recorded on February 4, 2015.

Here is the direct feed and the iTunes page for the podcast.

I am FluffyFibers on Ravelry and the podcast has a Ravelry group and forum.

Thanks to Kristin and Dani for mentioning me on their podcasts!

1. MY CUP OF TEA
A green organic Earl Grey, by Les Jardins de Gaia.

2. WHAT I'M WEARING
I am wearing my Lala's Simple Shawl out of Katia Sulka, layered over my red Moneta Dress by Colette Patterns.

3. TEA SWAP
Brilliantly imagined and organized by knittinluv on Ravelry. Sign-ups until February 11 (NOT 15 as said in the podcast!).
Send a minimum of 6 tea bags (can be loose tea that you package in tea bags), along with a little handcrafted tea-related item, and a note explaining your own little tea idiosyncrasies.
All the details have been posted in the ravelry group, and we have started a chat thread. We have also set up a small Pinterest board as inspiration for handcrafted gifties.

4. A BIT OF SEWING
I made Simplicity 2946 out of a floral corduroy to make birthday dresses for my daughter and her doll.

5. A BIT OF KNITTING

5.a Finished
- Legwarmers out of Adriafil Knitcol in the Beethoveen (62) colourway.
- Socks for me out of Adriagil Knitcol in the Boccioni (66) colourway.
I mention West Yorkshire Spinners, especially their Country Birds collection in fingering and DK weight. I am also quite enamoured with their Pennyroyal colourway in sock yarn.

5.b In Progress

- Lenny by Heidi Atwood-Reeves for my daughter, out of Countess Ablaze BFL Aran in Radioactive Raspberry.
- Curly Snake from Susan B Anderson's Itty Bitty Toys. Knit out Crystal Palace Yarns Mini Mochi in colour #106. Yarn was bought from Annette Petavy, who hosts one of my favourite podcasts (in French), Mon crochet et moi.
I cast this on as part of the Little Along hosted by Dani of Little Bobbins Knits.

5.c Future Projects
- Cardigan for both me and my daughter, out of the Surnaturelle yarn that I got from La Droguerie for Christmas. My cardigan is going to be Alecia Beth by Justyna Lorkowska.
- socks for Seb out of Online Supersocke 4-fach, in the shade 1530.

6. A BIT OF SPINNING
- I just finished spinning and plying a Juno Fibre Arts braid named Wishing Tree: 70% BFL- 30% Sparkle.I'm going to knit it into a Stretcher Quaker Boomerang by Susan Ashcroft.
- My daughter spun on her merino fibre, which she intends to knit into a hat!
