Mid-century Dining by by-jwp featuring wooden bookcases
Midcentury modern has become over the years one of the most used terms in the world of design. Despite the fact that its name specifies its style chronologically, referring to the architecture and furniture from the middle of the 20th century, I didn't know that they don't agree all about which years are considered as Midcentury. Some consider this period from 1933 to 1965 and others limit the years to 1947 to 1957.
The "midcentury modern" was firstly used as a term by the author Cara Greenberg in her book, Midcentury Modern: Furniture of the 1950s, published at 1984. And, it describes the big modernist movement during the middle of 20th century, influenced by the Industrial Revolution of the previous century.
So, what do you think? Would you choose a Midcentury Dining table and chairs for your home? I simply love it! Wish you all a beautiful Thursday ... xo xo!!!
