Spy photos have revealed the testing of the new BMW M5, however, the current generation of the Bavarian sports sedan still can be spiced up. Especially if the car will get help from some of the tuning industry representatives. The latest example comes from the Dortmund Carbonfiber Dynamics guys.

Carbonfiber Dynamics merely “tweaked” the body kit of the BMW M5: quite a modest, but very effective kit from the Japanese 3DDesign studio includes a new front bumper with a lip, new side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. All elements are made of carbon fiber to keep the weight as low as possible.

The bright Fire Orange gives the car an even more dynamic look, which completes with 21-inch Vossen wheels that blend nicely with the other exterior modifications. Carbonfiber Dynamics reported all of the styling upgrades created by 3DDesign can also be had on the M4 and M6.

The most interesting things in this car are under the hood. The biturbo 4.4-liter V8 develops 560 hp and 680 Nm of torque in the standard sedan BMW M5. How about the 830 hp? Carbonfiber Dynamics managed to squeeze 830 hp out of the good old M5. The installation of new, more powerful turbochargers, exhaust modernization and new software for the engine control unit helped to achieve this result. This is way stronger than those recent special editions such as the Competition Edition and Pure Metal which are both rated at 600 hp.

Thanks to the huge power boost, the BMW needs about 10 seconds to launch from standstill to 200 km/h (124mph), and 6.6 seconds to complete the sprint from 100 km/h to 200 km/h (124mph). Just do the math: it takes just 3.4 seconds for the car to hit the first “hundred”. Nothing was said about the top speed, however, most likely it has increased over the 190 mph (305 kph) achieved by the M5s fitted with the optional M Driver’s Package.
