2017 All-terrain Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes-Benz will introduce the all-terrain version of the E-Class in October 2016 at the Paris Motor Show, according to Autocar. The car will receive an All-Terrain console and will go on sale in Europe in 2017. The main competitor of the car will be Audi A6 Allroad.

The design of the car won’t differ much from the versatile E-Class. It’ll be equipped with more rugged bumpers, plastic underbody protection and additional cladding for the wheel arches.

The range of engines will include gasoline and diesel powertrains, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Engine among them. Engine power will be 241 horsepower. All units will work together with nine-speed automatic transmission.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz will introduce an E-Class coupe in 2017. The design will resemble C– and S-Class coupes . The car will get LED optics, a massive grille and different bumpers. The MRA platform will make the coupe significantly lighter than its predecessor. According to an unofficial data, the motor range will include six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. 12 months after the premiere of the new coupe, the company will start the sales of the AMG-version.

Mercedes has officially unveiled the 2017 E-Class Estate yesterday. The official debut of the car took place at a special event in Stuttgart. The car will appear in European dealerships in October 2016.

The exterior of the model is made in the style of C-Class Station Wagon. The car has received a spoiler, full LED head optics, exhaust system with two tailpipes and LED lights. Interior design is almost the same as the E-Class sedan of the current generation. The new station wagon, like its predecessor, has received three rows of seats, which can accommodate up to seven people. The middle row seats are folded in the ratio of 40:20:40. The third row of seats is designed exclusively for children.

The luggage compartment is 670 liters, and this figure rises to 1820 liters when the rear seats are folded. Thus, the new E-Class trunk will be smaller than its predecessor (from 695 to 1950 liters). Optionally, the car is equipped with an air suspension. The versatile range of engines includes three petrol engines ranging from 184 to 333 horsepower. Diesel power units with 150, 194 and 258 horsepower are also available.
