BMW started testing the “charged” version of the X3 Crossover. Spies managed to shoot some pictures of the new 2018 BMW X3 M in Germany. The X3 M will compete with the Porsche Macan Turbo and the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63.

Judging by the spy photos, the crossover will get an aggressive front part, massive air intakes, big wheels and a sports Exhaust System with four tailpipes. All the technical characteristics of the car are still kept secret. Previously reported that the power of the “charged” modification will exceed 430 horsepower.
The debut of the standard version of the new X3 Generation will likely be held next year. It seems that there won’t be any fundamental changes in the body structure and the architecture of the chassis. The new X3 with the G01 code name will receive a front fender vents, a sportier rear bumper and a new Exhaust system. The car will be built on the CLAR platform. There will be increase in size, yet it will be lighter than its predecessor.
The range of BMW X3 engines, will likely include modified engines of the current generation of crossover with some increased power. According to preliminary information, the base model will be rear-wheel drive. The X3 will also come in all-wheel drive version. A hybrid version with a 252 horsepower impact has been promised as well.
