Mercedes Teases C-Class Cabriolet Before Geneva Motor Show

Mercedes published the teaser image of the C-Class Cabriolet. The public debut of the C-class will take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016. The image shows the company’s convertible lineup for the upcoming motor show. C-Class Cabriolet is hidden under the fabric, which allows you to see only a small piece of metal along with the taillights that are identical to C-Class Coupe.

The motor range of the new Mercedes is already known as it will be basically carried over from the C-Class Coupé. Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet version will receive a 3.0-liter V6 petrol Engine. The power unit will make 362 hp and 520 Nm of torque. The engine works in conjunction with an automatic transmission.

Later, Mercedes will start selling “high-end” modifications under the name AMG C63 Cabriolet. The vehicle will be equipped with a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine. The power unit will make 503 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

Earlier, Mercedes introduced a new modification of the S-Class in the carcass of a convertible. S-Class Cabriolet is the first four-seat Mercedes with an open top, since 1971. The folding roof is designed the way that the car’s design is similar to the S-Class Hatchback Convertible Coupe. However, the back part of the cabriolet has become longer due to the additional storage space for the soft roof.

The basic version of the S500 is equipped with a twin-turbo 4.7-liter petrol V8 engine. The engine power is 455 hp and 700 Nm of torque. More expensive modifications of S63 AMG and S63 AMG 4MATIC Cabrio are equipped with a 5.5-liter V8 petrol unit with 585 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
