If you didn't already know... it's now less than 14 WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! YIPEE...!
Here are HOH headquarters we are busy preparing for the festive season. Our designers are busy finalizing the new Christmas jewellery designs ready for our VIP Christmas Launch next week, we have our dispatch team making boxes upon boxes in preparation for all those special parcels Santa will be delivering and most importantly, we have the cupboards stocked with the essentials...coffee and biscuits of course.
But even with all the craziness that we call Christmas, we still make time for a bit of fun, after all it 'tis the season to be jolly'
We have put together a list of festive craft activities using handprints, footprints and fingerprints, which we are sure your children will love.
Here are our top 3 craft ideas:
Reindeer Footprint Wrapping Paper
What you will need:
Brown Craft Wrapping Paper
Brown Acrylic Paint
Red Acrylic Paint
White Acrylic Paint
Black Sharpie Pen
Round Sponge Brush
Step One: Place some brown acrylic paint on a flat surface long enough for a foot to be placed into the paint. Place foot in paint and stamp on the paper.
Step Two: Using the red acrylic paint and a round sponge brush add a nose.
Step Three: With a black Sharpie marker add antlers.
Step Four: Using the the white acrylic paint add some white eyes (you could even use your fingerprint). When dry, add some black details to the eyes.
Step Five: Allow to dry and then you are all done
Fingerprint Penguin Christmas Cards
What you will need:
Blank Cards
2 Potatoes
Acrylic Paint in Black, White and Yellow
Paint brushes
Step One: THIS STEP IS FOR THE ADULTS: Pick a potato which fits the size of your card and cut it in half. (Tip: use a good sharp knife so the cut is as smooth as possible), repeat this step using a smaller potato suitable for the belly.
Step Two: Paint the potato end with black acrylic (brushing on the paint, instead of dipping, provides the best result). Stamp the painted end onto the card and lift. Let this layer dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Step Three: Repeat step two using the smaller potato and the white paint to create the fluffy white belly and again let dry.
Step Four: Using your fingers and the orange paint, add fingerprint feet to your penguins
Step Five: To finish your penguins add some googly eyes.
Handprint Christmas Tree Canvas
What you will need:
Black canvas
Plastic/Paper Plates
Green Acrylic Paint
Brown Acrlyic Paint
Yellow Acrylic Paint
Paint Brush
Step One: Place some of the green paint onto a paper plate. Press your hand into the paint and then press onto the blank canvas (Tip: we find starting with the top of the tree works best)
Step Two: Repeat step one several times using both your left and right handprints to create the tree branches - we recommend creating at least 4 four rows of prints
Step Three: Next, take the brown paint and paint the tree trunk
Step Four: Finish your christmas tree by painting a yellow star at the top of it
Step Five: Allow to dry. If you are feeling extra creative, you could always use your fingerprints and colourful paints to create christmas baubles.
