Basking Shark - General Info

Basking Shark (Cetorhinus maximus) is the largest living shark second to the whale shark. This animal is found in all the temperate oceans or warmer waters. It is a slow moving and generally harmless animal. The reason why this is called Basking Shark is because it is most often observed that when feeding on the surface, it appears to be basking in the water. It is the only member of the family
