The International Airport Expo in Las Vegas 2016

Exhibitors of the event will include companies that are involved in Aircraft docking, Aircraft handling, Airfield service equipment, Aircraft maintenance, Airfield lighting, Air traffic control, Bird control systems, Baggage handling, Ground support equipment and services, Cargo handling, Passenger handling, Environmental control, Technical systems and services (airside), Passenger information technology, Security equipment, Floor and wall finishing, Shop furnishings, and Seating.

This year, IAEMA will partner with Ground Support Worldwide in order to create a one-of-a-kind group support equipment trade show. 2016 will mark the culmination of almost two years of discussions that will address the consumer’s desire for a single, equipment-centered event to serve the ground support industry.

“We are extremely excited to partner with IAEMA, to provide our industry with the best venue to meet suppliers, network with peers, and bring decision makers together in one place,” said Sue Ralston, the International Airport GSE Expo’s show director.

Virginia Salas, an IAEMA board member, says that the exhibit’s mission from day one was to listen to consumer wants and needs in order to help the show grow. A single GSE aviation show located in the U.S., which alternates every two years with Inter Airport in Germany, was a desire shared by most of the GSE Community, and the event organizers have adhered to this by partnering with the GSE Expo.

According to Stastisa, about 42 million visitors went to Las Vegas in 2015. This was due to the ongoing efforts of the city to expand its attractions to the world and not just focus on gaming. When the online gaming boom happened, which gave casino goers the option to stay at home and play against live online dealers a host of popular gaming titles, Las Vegas suffered enormously in terms of revenue. Thankfully, the city was huge enough to play host to a number of events and attractions that can cater to non-gamblers, and this setup is keeping Las Vegas afloat amid worrying economic times.
