Girls - I have found another Holly Grail Foundation in Nars Sheer Glow!
With Prescriptives going bust so suddenly, I was not quick enough to secure a few back up bottles of my favorite foundation. Three weeks ago, I decided to hit the pavement early in the search of replacements. NARS lip-glosses are some of my favorite things so I though I would give their foundations a go. When the make up artist at the NARS counter recommended Sheer Glow with my make-over, I quickly said no as Sheer never works well with my un-even and blemished skin. I normally need medium to full coverage - sad as it may be. She convinced me that this texture would be enough for me and the rest was history. After having received many compliments from co-workers and friends I am very excited to tell you about this one.
This foundation is a satin finished foumula which is buildable and also adds a bit of glow to the skin tone. It is formulated to be beneficial to the skin and contains NARS complexion brightening formula. What I love most about Sheer Glow is the ease of application. It should be applied with the fingers and it takes all of 1 minute max for achieving even and flawless coverage. My make up remains fresh during the day and I do not have to powder as often. It does really leave behind a radiant and healthy look. The foundation states that it is for normal to dry skin types; however I do have combination skin leaning more towards oily and have no problem with Sheer Glow. I purchased this in Medium/Dark and the NARS Stick concealer in Toffee to cover discoloration. These two products are a match made in heaven. My only negative or where I see room for improvement is the packaging. I think a pump dispenser would have been more practical.
The declaration from NARS is as follows:
- Minimizes visible discoloration
- Brightens and clarifies overall skin tone
- Improves skin luminosity and radiance
- Hydrates for softer and smoother skin
- Dermatologist tested. Non-comedogenic. Fragrance free.
