Margaret Bubner is a teddy Bear artist from South Australia that has been making bears under the name Maray Bears or The House of Maray since 1988, being one of Australia’s original teddy bear artists. Her bears have been featured on TV and teddy bear museums in the United States and Japan.

Margaret Bubner’s interest in bears first started after going to a teddy bear workshop with a friend in 1986. In 1994, she started up The House of Maray – Home of that Special Bear. Maray came from a combination of her first name and her husband’s name, Ray.
