or is it just ALL those candles on your birthday cake???

I suppose it has to be the candles... with 33 candles all lighted at the same time I'm pretty sure it would have triggered the sprinklers even, LOL. That card with the cool cat on the back was sent by my sister and her BF all the way from the Land Down Under.

And so for my 33rd birthday on the 3rd, I received 3 birthday cards...how's that for a lucky number? :D On the bottom left is a card from Sandy, and on the right, my SIL who is already super busy at work, attempted to make me a handmade card (and I must say she is a pro at that too!) I've been struggling a little bit to get this blog going, not to mention some crafting action too, but it has been tough for me. Those days when I could multitask seemed impossible now. So I have to take tiny baby steps at a time. Just slightly more than a week ago I had to wrap up a wedding gift for a very closed friend of mine. You won't believe how long it took me to do even a simple thing like wrapping up a gift, but I was happy how it turned out.


Lyne was a very good friend and a good colleague when I was working in a pre-school several years back. We've been keeping in touch even after I left. Here's a photo of the bride at her wedding reception with some of the other teachers :)


Last weekend fortunately was a productive one for me. I managed to clean part of my crafting table and make 7 cards for Cards That Care card drive! It is organized by Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire. Last year I managed to send in 3 cards and I'm glad I got to do it again this year with 7 cards! I'll be posting them in the next few days :)
