Knitters can make many useful objects for themselves, their families and friends, and their homes. I said earlier this week that I was planning to make a Dishcloth, and I've started it!
Since I did not find a large selection of cotton yarn at Michael's when I went there, I looked for some at Hobby Lobby. This store had shelves and shelves of yarn, from bamboo to acrylic to wool. I was glad to find different colors of cotton yarn, and I chose a dark green color for my first knitted dishcloth. Cotton is a fun material to use; it feels soft and should be good for a dishcloth.
If you're looking for an easy pattern to use, try http://www.hookyarnandneedles.com/oldstuff/node/91. The stitches are fairly easy.
When I finish the dishcloth, I'll post more about it.
