Both of these patterns might be a challenge to those without much experience with the Scroll saw. The P51 challenge comes from its size. It is 15" wide, presenting a challenge with small scroll saws. The stagecoach pattern simply has many smaller interior cuts. I do believe that these patterns are achievable for newer scrollers but you will need to take your time. If you are interested in either of the topics that these patterns represent then give them a try.
Passion is so important.
The young lady in this video is a scroller and her passion is inspiring. She creates signs on the scroll saw for customers that are very well designed and made. I enjoyed seeing her work but was even more impressed with her joy and her passion for the hobby. I know that I am biased but I have always felt that having something that you are passionate about brings joy to your life.
Her story of how she started will tug at your heart. If you have ever known a young couple who has experienced tragic experiences with childbirth you will understand why this young woman is so motivated. She lost a child at birth and after the grief process settled, she wanted to memorialize the baby with a sign using the child's foot impression taken at the hospital. She could not find someone to do the project so she decided to figure out how to do it herself.
Watching this video was difficult and emotional. I would be sad one minute for her then smile at her strength and ability to cope with the grief. I have watched thousands of videos on scroll sawing but this has to be my favorite. If you cry easily then you better go get a tissue. After you dry your eyes watch her superior technique as she cuts. She is very talented.
