After I published the Snow Skier pattern the other day I received quite a few requests for more winter activity patterns. Today, I have a snowmobile for you. All of the parts are 1/4" and 1/2" thick. I will do more of these if the downloads stay strong.

Very interesting Restoration video

This Dremel Jig Saw was manufactured in the 1950s. As you can imagine it needs a bit of restoration to get it running. This video is one of the better restoration videos of a Scroll saw that I have seen. The gentleman seems to have a good understanding of this type of work. There are different levels of restoration. This restoration is somewhere between Like New and Ready to Run. For a like new restoration he would add more detail like saving or replacing the label and using the original paint color. Either way it was interesting.

There is no commentary in this video but he does an excellent job of showing the details in the video. He uses several different types of chemicals and tools for cleaning and disassembly/assembly. There is a good chance you will learn a few pointers from this video that will be useful even when the intent is not restoration but simply cleaning.

INFORMATION:
I have spoken about this before but I am still getting emails so I want to repeat the message. First, thank you all for looking out for me when you see my patterns being sold by others.

Many of my patterns are available online by individuals who have no right to sell the patterns. The examples below are from Etsy.com. The patterns are being sold for $4.64 each and they are available in my catalog for free. I understand that I make the patterns so easily available that theft is going to happen.

I have always been okay with the final project being sold but the patterns are not to be sold or even hosted for free. They are only for my catalog.

I have attempted to get Etsy and to stop these individuals but they will not help at all. They want me to get a lawyer and take care of the problem in court. That would be terribly expensive because all the people selling my patterns are not in the US. For me personally, there is not much damage because I offer the patterns as donationware. What I hate is that people are getting charged for patterns that they should be getting for free.

I know that some of you also buy patterns on Etsy.com. I wish I had a way for you to know when you are purchasing one of my free patterns but I have so many patterns that it is not possible. All I can suggest is that if you are suspicious, go to my online catalog (https://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/) and do a search for words that might show the patterns. In the example below, if you search for "Gnome" my gnome patterns will come up.

One last point. In a few cases, the person selling my patterns is unaware that they are copyrighted. They buy a huge pack of patterns that they believe are public domain(want to believe). In that case, the seller of the package of patterns is the thief. In other words, it is complicated.

My patterns are being sold on Etsy.com. Just a couple of many.
