I have a toy Paddle Wheel Steamboat for you today. The boat is around 14" long. It is cut mostly from 1/4" thick wood but does call for 1/2" and 3/4" for the haul sections. You will also need a 3/4" diameter wood dowel for the smokestacks, and cargo, and a 1/4" dowel for the axle.
This is not intended to be used in water but you may want to use waterproof glue just in case. I know that when I was eight years old I would float it as soon as I could fill the sink. 😀 I believe it is a bit top-heavy to float.
There is a parts diagram included in the pattern but study the images and you should see how it goes together.
