Halloween Candle Holder/Candy Bowl, Piggy Box Scroll Saw Patterns.

I had an email asking why I have started posting more than a single pattern on some days. When I learned how to render the patterns in a more believable 3D image it saved me time and money. When I needed to cut the daily patterns it took more time and money(lumber is expensive). I am simply using that saved time to create more patterns. I love to cut on the Scroll saw but I also love to make patterns.

The expense to run this blog is in the hundreds of dollars per month. Eliminating some of the lumber and supplies expenses is a big help. So the multi-pattern per day is just the benefit of that technology.

Today's patterns are pretty flexible. The Skull candle holder can be modified to make a candy bowl. The Piggy Box can hold anything you need. In the animation above I am showing the box holding paper towel rolls. That seemed appropriate for a pig box. 😁

The candle holder will hold up to a 4.5" diameter candle.

The Piggy box is 16" long but the box section is 10.25" long and 6" deep. The Piggy box is cut from 1/2" thick material.

The candle holder is all 1/4" thick material.

Another DIY Scroll Saw

There is quite a bit of advanced engineering that goes into today's scroll saws. They are designed to be powerful, have low vibration, and reduce blade breakage. Few if any of the DIY scroll saws that I have seen can match the better scroll saws on the market but I still enjoy seeing what people can come up with in their shops.

Today's video is from the 4-Minutes Crafts YouTube channel. This DIY scroll saw build shows very high maker skills. The thought put into the build is impressive. At the very end, they show some impressive cutting so I would give this effort a B+.
