This Dog Flower Box is cut from 1/2" and 1/4" thick wood. The box is 5.5" deep, 10.25" long, and 8" wide. A flower box is only a suggestion. You could keep dog toys or treats in the box.
How about making something silly. This (Footstool) is 13.5" tall. It is cut from 3/4" thick wood. When cutting the slot and tab joints, try to ensure they are tight. Measure the thickness of your wood in case it is not a full 3/4". Tight joints will make for a sturdier footstool.
If you have a pocket hole jig you might want to use it for this project. The better the joints the more sturdy the stool will be.
