Mask Ear Saver Scroll Saw Pattern.

Download Below

It looks like we are going to be stuck with these masks for a while. I doubt that very many of you enjoy wearing masks. They are just uncomfortable for most people. We have seen all kinds of gadgets hit the market to make masks a bit easier to cope with. I thought I would add one of my own.

Hooking the straps around your ears is one of the inconveniences of most common masks. The straps rub and pull on your ears.

This EarSaver is cut from 1/8" thick Baltic birch plywood. That makes it strong and light. It is adjustable so you almost forget it is on. You can use it with the straps above and below the ears with the Ear Saver across the back of your head. You can also put each strap below the ears with the Ear Saver around the base of your head/upper neck. Just try both to see what works best for your head.

There are small, medium, and large patterns. Each size has three adjustments so you should be able to find one that fits. The large one fit my big noggin with the strap in the first notch for a loose fit and the third notch gave a snug fit.

The fact that we are using 1/8" thick Baltic birch plywood gives us the opportunity to cut several Ear Saver at a time by stack cutting. Make sure you sand all the edges smooth to make it even more comfortable.

The first thing I noticed when I put it on was that I no longer had the mask Mickey Mouse Ears. When the straps are around my ears they pull my already big ears out.

No more Mickey Mouse Ears with Ear Savers.

The Gwinnett Woodworkers Present the Works of George North.

Watch the Video

The Gwinnett Woodworkers Group is located in the Atlanta area. They have a dedicated membership who make the group one of the best in the country. I have had the pleasure to visit their group on a couple of occasions and a better group of people can't be found.

One gentleman in the group has the respect of everyone who knows him. When I talk with the members, George North's name comes up constantly. For good reason. When you have a chance to spend a few minutes with George, his kindness and talent are clear.

George enjoys many types of scroll saw projects but he is well known for his Intarsia.pieces. I am fortunate to have two of George's pieces of intarsia in my home.

This video is a tour of George's home showing incredible dedication to his art. There are thousands of hours of work hanging on George's walls. If you want to see what a talented and dedicated artist looks like then do yourself a favor and click the video.

Thanks to George for allowing us to visit your home.

You can also visit the Gwinnett Woodworkers web page at this link. If you live anywhere in the area you should check them out. https://www.gwinnettwoodworkers.com/
