Amazing Photos of 1960 Autobianchi Bianchina Special Cabriolet

The Autobianchi Bianchina was first unveiled in 1957 at the Milan Motor Show in Italy. The Bianchina was based on the Fiat 500 and was produced from 1957 to 1970 in various body styles, including a two-door sedan, a station wagon, and a convertible (Cabriolet).


The Special Cabriolet version of the Bianchina was introduced in 1960 and was produced until 1965. The Special Cabriolet version of the Bianchina was equipped with 499-cubic-centimeter “500 Sport” engine producing 25 horsepower allowing the car to achieved a top speed of 65 mph.

The Bianchina was marketed as a stylish, practical, and fun-to-drive city car. Overall, the Autobianchi Bianchina was a successful model for Autobianchi and helped to establish the company as a maker of popular and distinctive small cars.
