Ecuador has released a new series of circulating coins depicting Historical Figures.
Some of the denominations were released with different obverse designs. The coins, manufactured by The Royal Mint, respectively depict the following people:

5 centavos:
Isidro Ayora, former president of Ecuador and doctor, singer, politician and philosopher

10 centavos:
Galo Plaza, former president and diplomat
Jaime Roldós, former president and lawyer

25 centavos:
Oswaldo Guayasamin, painter, craftsman and sculptor
Jorge Icaza, novelist
Alberto Spencer, football player

50 centavos:
Tránsito Amaguaña, indigenous leader
Matilde Hidalgo de Procel, doctor and the first woman to vote in Latin America
