For quite a few years now we've been anticipating the Audi e-tron and it looks like we're finally seeing this model become a reality. In this video we get a glimpse of the prototype in action on the streets of Geneva during the recent Geneva Auto Show.


To me this prototype looks like a cross between the Q5, allroad, and Porsche Cayenne. The grill also looks like a mouth that is smiling - as it should be because this will be the model that catapults the Audi brand into the future. It is currently being tested in other countries around the world to see how it performs in various conditions. The first production models will be available for sale in the UK at the end of the year.

It'll be exciting to see how the e-tron does and whether or not it can truly compete with Tesla. There has been chatter over at the Tesla forum about this topic and the consensus is that the e-tron won't be serious competition.

We'll just have to wait and see.
