Sew an Art Deco Zipper Pouch

I am a big fan of the Art déco architecture: order, colour and geometry are its main characteristics.  As I love geometric designs, I wanted to add a bit of art déco’s touch to my creations. So I designed this Zipper Pouch to include these features and create an original pouch with a touch of vintage. I hope you will like it.

This is an original pattern by Petit Bout de Chou – February 2017. You may use the pattern for your personal use but it may not  be redistributed or used in any form for commercial purposes.

Supplies needed:

Here is a list of the supplies needed for this project.

  • Cotton fabric for lining – I used a beautiful fat quarter from Daily Like
  • Suede fabric in blue/ purple colour from perlesandco.com
  • Faux leather in gold colour from perlesandco.com
  • A 15cm long zipper
  • Sewing machine
  • Sewing material (needle, scissors, thread, ruler, pins, fabric pens…)
  • Binder clips
  • Fabric glue
