Episode 74: Clouds, linings and being bolder

Welcome to another episode of the Crafternoon Treats Podcast, which you can view here:

I didn’t do any notes for the last podcast, Episode 73 as this was a special edition all about Leeds Wool Festival, which was held at the Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills. If you missed it, you can watch it on my YouTube channel here.

There are plenty of links and info on screen and you can visit the website of the Leeds Industrial Museum to find out more.

In Episode 74 I talk about some of the projects I’m working on and a couple that I’ve just finished and review a knitting class that I went to last weekend.

Here are some links that you might like to follow up:

The Linden Bee shawl by Sandra of Cherry Heart is in her Ravelry store, along with the other lovely shawls that she donated for my 3-year podiversary giveaway. The winners of the giveaway are announced at the end of the podcast.

I’m using a combination of Ruby and Rosa, which are both my own yarns and are available in my Etsy shop.

I’ve also made one of the Old Forest Mitts by Michelle DuNaier who is MadCapFancies on Ravelry. You can find the pattern here. I made mine in the Toffee colour way of my DK Corriedale wool and although I was unsure about it at first, its growing on me!

I’ve finished my version of the Rubia cowl, a knitted cowl pattern by Maria of the Ninja Chickens podcast. And my version of the Falls Scarf by Emma of the Potter and Bloom blog and podcast. Mine turned into another cowl… Its made in Stylecraft Special DK in mushroom and Stylecraft Bambino in Grey mist.

My double knitting course was with Nathan Taylor of Sockmatician and you can read all about it and follow up links to his Ravelry store, website and YouTube channel in this earlier blog post.
