Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG By Vath Shares The Same Power With Aventador

Not very long ago, AMG models were also nicknamed “Benz”, and the name has recently been simplified to Mercedes-AMG only. The famous German tuning studio Vath recently released its new tuning package for Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, a new tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz AMG SL 65 that gives the performance convertible a higher output of 700 horsepower and 1148 Nm.

The standard version of the SL 65 left the factory with a huge 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine, capable of 630 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. However, even these figures did not impress VATH professionals, who, by adding their own model V65 to the engine, were able to raise the power output up to 700 hp and up to 1148 Nm of torque.

Now the horsepower of the SL 65 is now, for example, coincides with the Lamborghini Aventador, while the torque is considerably greater than the Italian supercar with its 690 Nm. Unfortunately, the company did not say how much the power increase affected the dynamic performance of the vehicle, however, the modified SL 65 must be clearly faster than the stock car. The only thing that was reported in the Bureau is that the top speed limit was raised up to 325 km/h.

Vath is also offering its own valve-control muffler exhaust system that offers three different sound levels and wireless remote control. The standard ABC sport chassis (Active Body Control) is lowered to a tight, sporty level.

The new control unit for the engine is rated 6980 euros at VATH. For an extra 1450 euros the company will equip the cars with a new adjustable and for 3890 euros your Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG can have a new heavy-duty exhaust system with valve regulated.
