Mercedes-Benz unveiled the sports sedan version of the E-Class at the motor show in Los Angeles. The cars will be available for purchase in two models: E63 and E63 S.

The new E63 and E63 S have become the most powerful and fastest version of E-Class in the model’s history. The standard E63 has 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 563 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. The motor routes with a nine-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the 4Matic all-wheel drive system resulting a run to 60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds and to an eventual top speed of 155 mph.

Mercedes-Benz E63 S version has an engine with an increased output of 603 hp and 850 Nm of torque. Acceleration to hundred takes in 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 186.4 miles per hour. Both versions have their engines working together with the nine-speed AMG Speedshift multi-clutch transmission for enhanced agility.

The car is equipped with a cylinder deactivation as a standard feature to improve efficiency, as well as the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system with configurable drive modes and AMG’s Air Body Control-based sport suspension system. The driver can also upgrade the new Mercedes with available package settings like Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and the Individual; each of these packages change the force on the steering wheel, algorithms on the engine work and the gearbox. Mercedes-Benz E63 S modification also provides a Race mode.

“E63 is the most powerful car that we’ve ever produced. This is a big step forward from one generation to the next,”- said Dietmar Eksler, the executive director of Mercedes-Benz in the US, Canada and Mexico during the presentation.
