BMW plans to unveil its most expensive M8 Coupe in the second half of 2019. The car will be positioned as a rival to Aston Martin Rapide, Bentley Continental GT and Mercedes-AMG S63.
According to Autocar, the car will get a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. Power unit will exceed 600 hp. It is expected to have a 0 to 62 miles per hour time of under four seconds. The maximum speed will be around 200 mph.

Due to the replacement of many metal elements on carbon, the weight of the vehicle must be not more than 3,262 lbs. The basic version of the car will be offered with rear wheel drive. All-wheel drive system will be optional.
It was reported earlier that BMW is planning to revive the 8-Series coupe in 2020. The Bavarian brand has already started the road testing of the new vehicle. The first generation of BMW 8-Series was in production in 1989-1999. After the debut of the 8-Series coupe, a convertible and a four-door modification of GranCoupe will be released under the same index. Technically, the 8-Series will be a copy of the current seven series. The coupe will be built on the same platform as the flagship sedan, and will be equipped with the same line of motors.
Some design elements of the future car will resemble the Pininfarina Gran Lusso concept, presented two years ago.
