Yesterday I showed you how to use decorative stitches and a twin needle on the Brother The Luminaire XP1 Sewing, Embroidery and Quilting machine to create some quick and easy placemats.
And then, because I had some scraps of Decorative stitching left over from stitch testing, I made a couple of mug mats. These are about 6″ x 9″.
The possibilities are endless for using the decorative stitches on the Brother Luminaire Innov-ís XP1 and there are so many other features that I want to try out.
After using the Brother Luminaire Innov-ís XP1 sewing and embroidery machine for the past couple of weeks, what do I think? I love this machine! It’s very user-friendly and everything worked just as it was supposed to.
Of course this machine has all the standard features that we’ve come to enjoy on Brother machines – automatic thread cutter, needle up and down positions, automatic presser foot up and down and automatic needle threading.
But there are so many other great features on this machine and I’ve only had time to use a few of them as I concentrated mostly on decorative stitching this week. What did I like best? Here are just a few of my favorites:
- 5-level adjustable bobbin winding thread amount
- Automatic thread tension
- Textured surfaces on the machine bed area and embroidery unit reduce glare and enable smooth fabric feeding.
- The projector shows adjustable single and double guidelines and grid lines with adjustable intervals.
- The projector shows stitch images on your fabric with width, length, and left/right shift adjustment icons.
- The Dual Purpose Stylus is used to select options on the LCD screen as well as interact with icons displayed on fabric by the projector.
- The Brother Luminaire Innov-ís XP1 is a large machine, but it’s extremely quiet when sewing.
