Choosing a name for a child is one of the most important parts of parenthood, but imagine being in the celebrity spotlight and that name being talked about by hundreds.

There have been a lot of celebrity babies born in the past 6 months, and we thought we’d take a look at some of the cutest and most out there names!

British actor and all round nice guy Benedict Cumberbatch welcomed his second son in March, and the name he and his wife Sophie Hunter chose was Hal Auden. Hal comes from the Shakespearian hero Henry V whose nickname was Hal. Auden is take from the famous poet W H Auden, best known for ‘Funeral Blues’.

Geri Halliwell has welcomed her second child with husband Christian Horner, and Named him Montague George Hector. Obviously, Montague is another notch on Shakespeare's belt, having the newest member of the Horner-Halliwell household named after one of the most famous families in literary history!

Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper and his model wife Irina Shayk welcomed their first daughter, Lea De Seine. Seine refers to the river in Paris where the loved up couple often reside, which we agree is a lovely name and reference to such a romantic part of the world.

Russell Brand has finally settled down with Laura Gallacher, sister of Kirsty Gallacher. The happy couple revealed the birth of their daughter in November, whom they named Mabel. I think they may win the cutest name award with tiny Baby Mabel.

Finally, our old friend Helen Skelton recently gave birth to her second child with rugby player Richie Myler. They named their first baby boy the very traditional name of Ernest, they were very much keeping it in the Skelton family the first time around.

The new baby has been named Louis, and hopefully, we’ll get another visit from the Skelton-Myler family soon!
