Christmas Crossing Quilt in Love of Quilting Magazine

Have you seen my Christmas Crossing quilt?  I know it's either a little late for Christmas 2023, or super early for Christmas 2024, but here it is!

This quilt is on the cover of the November/December 2023 issue of Love of Quilting magazine.  The pattern is tucked inside on pages 12 ~ 16.

If you can't find a copy at your local quilt shop, you can order one through the Quilting Daily website.

To make the Christmas Crossing quilt, I used a variety of Island Batik fabrics in red, green, white, and a yummy multi colored fabric.  Some of the fabrics I used are from the Chromatic collection.

It's a merry little quilt, finishing at 35-1/2" x 35-1/2".  Here it is still in progress with only the red border sewn on.  As you can see, it looks great with just one border as well.  If you needed a smaller quilt or table topper, you could stop here.

This is the completed quilt top with the white and green borders added.

I quilted an all over loopy meander with King Tut thread in Temple.

I used Hobbs Premium Cotton for the batting ~ my favorite.

Everything was stitched together with Schmetz needles.

The backing is Gecko from Island Batik's Glorious Greens collection.

I matched my binding to the outer border.
