On Being RESILIENT

2020 is proving to be a memorable year. My ONE WORD this year was chosen to be "RESILIENT". As the year has unfolded I've found so many reasons to be and become more Resilient
re·sil·ient
/rəˈzilyənt/
adjective
adjective: resilient
  1. 1.
(of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
"babies are generally far more resilient than new parents realize"
    Similar:

    strong
    tough
    hardy
    quick to recover
    quick to bounce back

Since  early this year when it was determined that we all needed to quarantine to protect ourselves and the people around us due to the pandemic novel coronavirus outbreak, my life has been focused on being resilient

Locally we Continue to see emerging cases and deaths from Covid-19 so I continue to minimize my risk with Mask wearing precautions and by staying home mostly. (What is mostly? Memorial Day I went out for the first time since the beginning of the quarantine except for my trip to emergency in March.)

In March when I became ill my sweet husband had to canvas our neighbors just to get a mask before I headed to the ER. When I was feeling well enough to finally check out internet sites, Youtube, Facebook etc I found many people had stepped up to the plate to remedy the shortage our medical community was experiencing...YEAH!! My dear friend Diane donated many masks as did her son Zack. (Diane and my neighbors also shared time and resources to help while I personally was sick, thank you so-ooo much!) A huge shoutout to all of you who have donated your time to help fill the gap, I am very thankful .

I shared in an earlier post on Nanas Inspiration  I shared how my beautiful granddaughter in law, a newlywed and new business owner turned this sour lemons time into something very sweet by creating masks (at a very low cost...$5.00 each!) She went from teaching fashion design to mask making...Please take a moment to read their story. Oh, BTW they are really cute too ;)

Keep safe and may you be resilient as well!
