Is CBD worth the hype? What does it do and is it safe?

When I started looking for alternative ways to deal with the pain and anxiety caused by my autoimmune disease, I kept running across Cbd Oil.
I would immediately dismiss it because I ASSUMED it was the same as medical marijuana. (Spoiler alert! It’s not!) It took a friend educating me about it to realize that it was EXACTLY what I had been looking for…a natural remedy for pain, stress, and anxiety with little to no side effects. Now that I use THG Naturals CBD oil regularly, I tell people about it all the time! I get a lot of different reactions ranging from curiosity to skepticism and sarcastic Cheech and Chong comments. Every conversation though, ends with “Oh, I should try that!”

Here are answers to 5 of the most common questions I get about hemp CBD oil and the brand that I have come to love and trust.

1. What is hemp CBD, and what would I use it for?

Hemp CBD, short for cannabidiol, is an organic compound that comes from industrial Hemp plant. Simple as that. The most common uses for Hemp Cbd are for relief from anxiety, depression and pain. It promotes a feeling of calm, relief, and help promote a healthy sleep cycle. CBD is currently being studied for a wide variety of health issues, including seizures, insomnia, chronic pain, and more. It can be ingested or used topically.

2. What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

The short answer: One is a drug that gets you high and the other is not!
The long answer: Both hemp and marijuana are plants that belong to the Cannabis family.“Marijuana” is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain more than the legal amount of THC and can induce psychotropic or euphoric, high effects. “Hemp” is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC content. THG Naturals CBD oil is a pure hemp CBD oil. Using a CO2 extraction process, they remove all cannabinoids and leave a pure CBD product. All of their CBD is grown in the United States, extracted then manufactured in Utah. THG Naturals controls the process from the seed to the finished product. I use THG products because of this process that produces a pure, third-party certified THC free, CBD oil.
Are you still with me? That was ALOT of information in a few sentences. Ready to keep going?

3. Can I get high or be otherwise impaired using it?

NO! You cannot get high. It does not show up on a drug test. It does not impair you or your judgement. Consuming hemp CBD won’t land you a spot in a Judd Apatow film or make you more likely to skip school to hang out under the bleachers! Not all CBD products are created equally but “THG Naturals products are 100% THC Free. Every batch of CBD is tested before it’s sold to you to make sure there’s absolutely no THC…”

4. Is CBD safe?

Yes! According to a report from the World Health Organization “CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential….To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
I have turned into the parent that says “Put some CBD on it!” for every ache or pain! My daughter had a sore back from gymnastics. When it went from sore to painful, I rubbed some of the topical CBD cream on it before she left for school. I asked her when she got home how it felt and she said “I forgot it hurt and it’s better now!” It is safe for adults, for kids and even pets!

5. Is CBD legal?

Yes. CBD derived from hemp plants that have less than 0.3% THC in their genetic makeup are legal in all 50 states. That’s it! It’s legal!

For me, a dropper full of CBD oil in the mornings has reduced my pain and taken the place of the handfuls of Advil I used to take. It takes the edge off of my anxiety when I get overwhelmed which increases productivity. It helps me be a calm and collected Mom instead of a crazy, worry-wart Mom. I also feel like I am able to wind down at night easier and get a more restful sleep. Maybe it could do the same for you?

I encourage you to do your research and see if a THG natural product is right for you. It’s been a wonderful thing in my life! You can check out the different products HERE.
