Carolyn Jacobsen is an American teddy Bear artist that started making bears in 1982. Her first bears were made of acrylic plush, later using mohair she found on mohair coats and sleigh blankets. She makes traditional style bears using her own designs and vintage fabrics and accessories, with bears ranging in size from 3 inches to 30 inches.

One of Carolyn Jacobsen’s more popular teddy bears is Old World Father Christmas, which is a 24 inch bear in a limited edition of 4 that goes for around $400 in 2001.
