Firstly this Statement is not from a delusion-ed Liverpool fan, But by Mr. Rafa Benitez himself.
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, the Spaniard said: “I don’t agree when people say that you have to win Trophies,” he explained.
“I always say you have to be there, you have to be close, you have to create a group of players who can fight for trophies.

DENIAL. This is what happens when you win 18 trophies and then go trophyless for 18 years.
I think he is a fantastic manger and Liverpool have indeed improved a lot since he took over 5 years back, but making such statements could mean only two things:
1. He needs more English lessons (reasonable as it is not his “1st language”)
2. He has given up on this season after the Fulham defeat (wayy too early)- Which sucks because if Man City and Tottenham have hopes of making it to the top 4, Liverpool have a more than decent chance of winning the league.
I am just wondering if he says such things in press releases, what his team talk would be like. While at it he should have also said “Liverpool dont need Torres, We have Voronin to score goals”
