10 favorite Arsenal moments of this decade – Part 1

10. Flamini Defending!

Ok this isn’t one moment but about one player: Mathieu Flamini – One person who left Arsenal for money but still a player I respect. The way he played as a make shift defender for almost an entire season and got us to the final of the Champions League in 2006 and is something I absolutely love him for.

You know you made a mistake moving to Milan, Arsenal fans call you Flamoney but to me you will always be the legend who defended his heart out at the Bernabeu and stopped, what was the probably the best attack at that time, Real Madrid from scoring. [Which also made Arsenal the 1st english team to beat Madrid on their own patch]

9. Reyes Debut at Highbury

The arrival of a certain Jose Antonio Reyes at Highbury.
Was a dream debut season and was an integral part of the “Arsenal football”, and as all say “Pity, the english weather didn’t suit him”

8. Walcott Run vs. Liverpool

The Theo Walcott run.
We were 6 minutes away from the semi final and another champions league season ended just like that a minute later, anyway quoting Mumbai Mirror:
“I will always support Arsenal till I die. I may not win trophies but when young Theo Walcott runs 80 yards through five players and makes an inch perfect pass for the forward to convert then I am transported into a new footballing realm of dreams and aesthetics. That moment will be enough for me to last a whole season”
