OSAT! Oh So Eclectic

Say what… Yep, I made a card and candy wrap using the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and Eclectic Layers Thinlits for the OSAT Blog Hop. The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set is one of my favorite retiring sets that I’m going to miss along with the thinlits. I’m sad to see it go!

And, I’m doing a blog post! Actually, I haven’t been doing a whole lot of creating lately. I’ve wanted to create but some new health issues have been limiting my ability to craft for any length of time. This Friday I’m having a Nerve Conduction Test with EMG and an MRI. I’m hoping to have some answers.

Now it is time for the OSAT Blog Hop featuring Fabulous Florals!

Fabulous Florals with Oh So Eclectic

I’m so excited to be sharing today’s projects with you. Both projects feature the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and Eclectic Layers Thinlits. I’m also using Brusho Crystal Colours. Then, I just had to use the Gold Metallic Thread and Sequin Trim that are also retiring. The sequin trim will definitely be missed.

Project #1 – Oh So Eclectic Card

The card features a Whisper White card base. For the layers, I’m using Pineapple Punch for a bright pop of color behind the Whisper White card front. One of the cool dies in the Eclectic Layers Thinlits is the diamond cutout shapes. I love using the thinlit to show more background color.

I’m using Brusho Crystal Colour with the Shimmery White Cardstock. The sparkle from the Shimmery White Cardstock adds a beautiful touch when mixed with the Brusho Crystal Colours. After the Brusho’s dried, I stamped on the cardstock with Stazon using the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped over the Pink and Yellow then the leaves over the greenish colored Brusho. Afterwards, I diecut each of the pieces to be added to my projects.

I layered the leaves behind the flower. The addition of Gold Metallic Thread and the Gold Metallic Sequin Trim add extra depth to the floral element. I’ve attached the floral with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front. In the bottom left edge, I added the sentiment which is die cut using the Stitched Labels Framelits. The card is finished off with the addition of Basic Pearl Jewels.

Project #2 – Oh So Eclectic Candy Bar Wrapper

Since it is Teacher Appreciation this week, I’ve used that as my inspiration and theme for some treat packaging. It is so easy to dress up a candy bar. I measured my candy bar then cut the Pineapple Punch cardstock to fit the width and around the candy bar. Next, I added the Whisper White layer and again used the diamond cut out to add some interesting depth to the candy bar packaging.

Again, I’m using Brusho Crystal Colour with the Shimmery White Cardstock. I actually made several Brusho backgrounds on the Shimmery White cardstock so took the opportunity to die cut several flowers. As the design process proceeded, I ended up only using one flower on each project.

The leaves are also layered behind the flower with Gold Metallic Thread. Again, I’m using the Gold Metallic Sequin Trim but I’ve wrapped it in a figure eight. The flower is then attached to the whisper white layer. Then I stamped the “Thank You” from the Humming Along Stamp Set and die cut it using the Detailed Birthday Edgelits tag. I wove the Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon under the flower and wove it through the die cut. Finally, I finished the candy wrapper by sliding the tag onto the ribbon and tying a bow.
