Pink Lady

It’s finally here — the 2023 Prairie Moon Ranch Cowboy Boot Christmas Stocking! And I guess I should say “cowgirl”, cos it’s called “Pink Lady” this year. I haven’t done a pink Stocking since 2009, so I figured it was high time for another one.

Here she is:

This year’s boot features very simple hand embroidery, and just that tiny bit of appliqué to give it some accents.

Naturally, you can make it in whatever colors you need, to make it for a cowboy or someone who doesn’t like pink!

You can also leave off the embroidery, and use a fabric that does the talking for you. I also think the French knots would look cute done in beads or hot-fix crystals instead, for a little extra bling. Use your imagination!

The pattern comes with full-sized templates to make the stocking as shown. The embroidery diagrams are included, showing the stitches and colors I used for mine. But you know you can always substitute all of that, because I’m a HUGE fan of options!

“Pink Lady” measures 5.25″ across the top opening, 14.5″ tall from top to bottom, 9.75″ from heel to toe, and 4.25″ across the ankle part. If you want it a different size, you can always reduce or enlarge the pattern to make the stocking whatever size you need, or reverse the direction it’s pointing if you need it going the other direction. The lining on mine does not extend into the toe of the boot, but you could certainly make your lining however you wish, as well. Furthermore, altho I usually only put the fancy design on one side of mine and leave the back plain, you could make both sides fancy. See? Lots of options . . .

The PDF pattern for “Pink Lady” (and all the previous cowboy boot stocking patterns) can be found in my Etsy shop HERE. I also have a very limited number of kits. If you want a kit to make one exactly as shown, grab it fast, because they sell out quickly, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

I know I’m late getting this one out this year, and I would love to give a huge shout out to all of you who have purchased stocking patterns over the years. “Pink Lady” makes #16 in the collection. I can’t believe I’ve been doing these since the first one in 2008 — time sure flies, and I still have lots of ideas!
