Country Backroads

It’s time for the big reveal! The final installment for last year’s Mystery quilt through Sew Sweet Quilt Shop has been out since August 15th, time for everyone involved in the mystery to figure out what their quilt is supposed to look like by now.

So today, Sew Sweet is showing their reveal, and I’m also showing it here on my blog. I’m so excited for you all to finally get to see it!

The quilt is called Country Backroads. The shop chose red, white, and blue for their kits, and I think it turned out fantastic! Here is the original:

It’s basically a three-color quilt, so if you did not participate in the mystery, and just want to make one for yourself, you could actually choose any three color palette that you want to. (And I would LOVE to see some made in other colorways, since I don’t have time to do them all myself!)

But if you know me, you know how much I love options, so you can almost guess that I couldn’t resist making another version of the quilt, in a SEVEN-color option. Here is my seven-color version:

Both versions are a great way to use up lots of small scraps!

Those doing the mystery got the three-color option, but now that the mystery is revealed, the full pattern is now available, and BOTH options are in the full pattern. You can purchase the printed version of the pattern through Sew Sweet Quilt Shop — just give them a call at 660.548.3056 and they can hook you right up.

If you want the PDF version (it’s 46 pages total), you can purchase it in my Etsy Shop.

And now that Country Backroads is a finished program, Sew Sweet is announcing the NEXT new mystery program starting on September 15! (That’s next week, y’all!) Here is the fabric they’ve selected for this upcoming mystery:

The main prints are from the Fleet and Flourish line by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics, with a selection of low-volume backgrounds. Enrollment for their mystery program is limited because they can only make a certain number of kits, so if you want in on this one, don’t delay! Give them a call at 660.548.3056 and sign up now.
