Lots of you have been asking for an update on my Signature Quilt, and I’ve been late offering one up, that’s for sure.

I put out the first call for blocks in May of 2020, and posted the tutorial HERE in June of 2020 to make it easier to find. I started setting them together in January of 2021 — yes, TWO years ago already!

I DO have a plan, and am slowly working on it, one section at a time.

I want to end up with a large quilt, because I really don’t need any more small quilts. I collected 164 signature blocks from all of you that will finish at 3″. Those by themselves will not make a large quilt, so I’m having to add stuff in, which is really only making me love it even more for all its scrappiness.

I’m putting everything together into 12″ sections, a little at a time.

I pulled everything I could from my orphan block pile, things from scrap bags that other people have given me, pieces from my own pre-cut scraps, AND even some vintage orphan signature blocks I ran across while sorting my collection of vintage items:

I think these people would be glad to know that their blocks are finally going into a quilt, don’t you? I love getting to add these in!

All of this is getting sewn together all willy nilly and scrappy, and I love it so far.

So . . .

Since I’m moving along with this so slowly, there’s still time for me to collect more blocks, right? If you are new here, and haven’t sent me a signature block, but would like to contribute a block to my Signature Quilt, you still have time. You can find the tutorial with all the information HERE. I’d love to get even more blocks, from those of you who haven’t sent one yet!

Meanwhile, I’ll keep chipping away at the quilt, and try to post the next update a bit sooner!
