2022 Final Countdown, Task Three

Time for the final task already! My, how the time does fly.

Our final task is usually one that is a bit easier and helps us get a good handle on the Upcoming year’s projects, so in keeping with that tradition, this final task is:

Take a project inventory and devise a plan

If you don’t have your projects Listed, maybe it’s time to make a list.

If you have some of them listed, but there are others hiding in your space that haven’t made it to the list yet, maybe it’s time to add them.

If you simply need to go over your list, make sure the ones you have listed all still need to be there; or if you can check some off, maybe it’s time for that little exercise.

Once you have a list, try to come up with a plan for handling all those projects. I can attest: the list AND the plan WILL change (maybe a lot) over the course of the year, but just roll with it — it’s normal and perfectly OK.

I need to go over mine, and evidently become more reasonable with myself!

I usually make a yearly plan, and by summer, that plan seems ridiculous. So even tho I may make a tentative plan for 2023, my intention this year is to mostly make a monthly plan, and revise my yearly plan each month so that it makes sense for me the entire year. (Just another thing I’ve learned about myself over the years of doing this.)

It’s good to know what you have on your plate going forward. It’s also good to look back at what you got done in the last year. It’s good to take stock of what you have going on. Maybe you don’t want to finish some of those projects. Maybe the deadlines have changed according to what’s going on in your life. Maybe something new has come up and you need to add in a new project.

Here’s a couple links that might help you with your list:

Have fun with this. Use it for making yourself feel better about going into the new year with a solid plan. Use it to dream up all the new stuff you want to do in the upcoming year. Use it to keep from forgetting what you have going on. Use it so you will know what you need to be working on (especially projects with deadlines). Use it to keep track of what you’ve finished, so you’ll know what you accomplished all year!

Here’s to a wonderful 2023 for all of us!

Remember, you have till the 9th to leave your comments on The Final Countdown posts. I’ll draw for the prize winners on the 9th. Thanks so much for playing along!
